Doing laundry isn’t the most fun job in the world but if you’ve ever been so majorly inconvenienced by washing your knickers, then we have some good news for you.

You can now get underwear that doesn’t need washing – for a few weeks( not forever, obviously – that would be gross).

Danish fashion brand Organic Basics has been working underwear that is ‘durable, comfortable and odour-killing’, so users can go a long length of time without needing to change it.

If you’re not sold yet then just know they’ve even worked with NASA to develop the high tech stuff.

Wearing dirty knickers is no one’s idea of fun but the fancy new pants use advanced technology which doesn’t make it as disgusting as it sounds.

The SilverTech 2.0 collection is filled with a secret formula that allegedly kills 99.9% of all bacteria and bonus – it gets rid of unwanted odours.

The anti-microbial silver used in the underwear is the same material used by NASA to purify the water in the International Space Station.

And they’re not just encouraging the nation to walk around wearing the same underwear for weeks for banter, but rather for environmental reasons.

The Scandinavian country wants to promote sustainable living which means preventing water waste (i.e using your washing machine regularly).

They also have socks made for the same purpose. The eco-friendly brand also uses 100% recyclable materials, all of which is detailed on their Kickstarter page which claims to have created extra ventilation ‘in critical sweat zones’. That means your crotch.

The campaign has already amassed 606 backers and has raised over £60,000 from supporters.

So if anyone questions why you’ve gone 17 days without changing your knickers, tell them it’s for the environment.
