It has been the subject of speculation for days.
And, finally, the actress who bit Beyonce’s face seems to have been ‘identified’ as actress Sanaa Lathan – although she continues to deny it.
Several sources told Page Six that the TV star, 46, was responsible for the incident which has dominated news headlines for much of the past week.
The US performer, whose credits include Alien Vs. Predator, reportedly attacked Mrs Jay Z at a D’Usse VIP party in Los Angeles, last December.
Yet, despite this, Lathan continues to dismiss the claims.
In a tweet posted on 27 Match, she said: “Y’all are funny. Under no circumstance did I bite Beyoncé and if I did it would be a love bite.”
Her defiant message was re-tweeted more than 4,000 times and generated in excess of16,000 likes.
Her message came just days after comedian Tiffany Haddish sparked the mystery when she told American GQ that she was partying with Beyonce when another woman bit the legend in the face.
However, Tiffany later said she couldn’t reveal the identity – as she claimed she has signed a Non Disclosure Agreement about the incident.
“Once you sign an NDA…If y’all had asked me this a month and a half ago,” she said, adding: “NDAs are real so I’m not saying s**t about nothing.”
Cursing the interest she has caused, Tiffany tried to downplay the severity of the alleged attack.
“Why is that global news? They didn’t even take a chunk out of her face. It’s not that serious,” she huffed, reiterating: “I can’t say nothing else about it. NDAs are real. I’m done.”
In the fall out, a number of stars including Lena Dunham (the bookies favourite to have committed the attack) were forced to deny it was them.
